Haven Flower (part of the series Hydrophytes)
The Haven Flower is a futuristic aquatic plant that provides a nutrient home for fish to lay eggs.  It is part of a series of plant designs called Hydrophytes that are created with multi-material 4D printing, the added dimension being time. The movement of the Hydrophytes is activated by inflating their sealed chambers with air while their composite materials behave uncannily similar to living organisms. The film featuring the series is true to life with no effects created in post-production.
